There is a force within me that must create. It speaks to me, inspires and motivates me. For twenty years  this energy had been directed towards fabric and thread, resulting in quilts and quilted clothing.

With the new milennium I have felt the need to move away from what is considered "traditional" into the realm of fiber art. This wonderland of avant garde creations beckons me like an enchantress.

While learning daily, new techniques, new ways of thinking and approaching my art, the challenge tempts me. I hope to present work that offers good design, composition and colorplay in the arena of fabric and textiles.

It is the creative process, the 'doing' of it, that gets me out of bed every day.
The feel of fabric and thread, the touch and glimmer of beads, the visual pleasure received, is my reward.  To paraphrase Georgia O'Keeffe, " ...the idea of filling a space in a beautiful way", that is my goal.
